LANSING CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY MIKE NICHOLS ON A NEW COURT RULE THAT DOES NOT SATISFY YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS TO CONFRONT YOUR ACCUSER
Categories: Domestic Violence

The Michigan Supreme Court is considering a new rule of procedure in Michigan Courts that would offend the confrontation clause of the United States Constitution if passed. "The United States Supreme Court made its position clear: the government has the obligation to prove the elements of the crime through live testimony of witnesses who bear testimony against an accused," said Mike Nichols. Nichols is an author, attorney and adjunct professor of DUI Law and Practice at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing.
