Michigan lawyers will learn the top three things that every lawyer must know about setting aside convictions by reading the upcoming issue of the State Bar of Michigan Criminal Law Section newsletter. Mike Nichols authored an update on setting aside convictions that will be published by the State Bar's Criminal Law Section. "The state of the law can be very confusing," said Nichols. He added, "one of the most common questions that people have is whether they can expunge-an-OWI conviction in Michigan. Unfortunately the answer is 'no' because it is found under the Michigan Vehicle Code. Hopefully, the legislature will change that."
