Categories: Michael J. Nichols

East Lansing attorney Mike Nichols, who is known as a skilled OWI-DUI-OUIL attorney in Michigan, will speak at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences on February 23, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. “I am humbled yet privileged at the opportunity,” said Nichols. Nichols is author of the OWI Handbook from West Publishing and an adjunct law professor of OWI at Thomas M Cooley Law School in Lansing.

Mike Nichols will present on a Michigan rule of scientific testimony, known as MRE 703. Nichols said “Michigan is unique in that the rules of evidence here require that the facts or data on which an expert witness bases his testimony must be in evidence. I hope to educate lawyers and forensic scientists from around the country on why this rule is ‘a study in fairness.’”
