Michigan drivers may receive a new kind of scare this Halloween weekend. The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning announced plans to increase drunk driving enforcement on Michigan roads from October 25 to October 31. The following counties will participate: Allegan, Calhoun, Berrien, Chippewa, Genesee, Ingham, Jackson, Kent, Macomb, Marquette, Monroe, Ottawa, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne. A similar Halloween crackdown last year resulted in 261 arrests for operating while intoxicated.
