Michigan DUI-OWI-OUIL Attorney Says The Chemical Test Can Be Your Friend If You Get The Holiday Surprise Of A Drunk Driving Charge

The Michigan State Police is making changes to how it collects and analyzes breath and blood. It's making things easier for citizens accused of drunk driving. "The datamaster DMT is supposedly an improvement in technology but too many questions remain about how it is checked for accuracy" says East Lansing attorney, Mike Nichols.

When it comes to blood testing, the Michigan State Police Lab is also scrambling to comply with international accreditation standards. Nichols adds: "the lab's lack of 'traceability' casts doubt on its ability to reliably analyze human blood." Nichols has pending challenges during which lab supervisor Geoff French acknowledged that the lab's methods could be better.

For the lawyer who is committed to results and understands that the difference between a dismissal, acquittal and a conviction is the little things in a drunk driving case, call Mike Nichols at (517) 432-9000.
