Marijuana Users and Patients Targeted on the Famous "4.20" Day of Celebration

By Michael Nichols
Categories: Drug Crimes, Minor in Possession, Medical Marijuana

This past weekend marked April 20th and many people view it as a holiday of sorts for recreational marijuana use.  In the last several years there have been many public celebrations and events.  The holiday's origin is related to the time 4:20 PM which has been used in the marijuana community for years as a code of sorts. Many people still view that both 4/20 and 4:20 are "code words" when in reality law enforcement officers and others are aware of the date and time significance. Law enforcement officers routinely increase patrols and are on the look out for marijuana use on April 20th.  If you are charged with using or possessing marihuana call the Nichols Law Firm at 517-432-9000.
