Mike Nichols has agreed to act as the Ingham County liaison for the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, which has launched it’s effort to improve the delivery of legal services for indigent people charged with crimes. “Our system has been in need for repair for a long time,” he said. “We have a recent incident in which an attorney acted pro bono and he was denied the ability to have the county reimburse him for thousands of dollars in expenses that he doled out for expert witness,” Nichols added.
