Karen L. Phillips secured an award of joint physical custody and joint legal custody for a father in a divorce and custody case in Ingham County. Ms. Phillips said that “it is important for a father to have the same access to his children, especially when he has been heavily involved in their lives and has the same ability to care for them as the mother. Children need both parents in their lives after the stress that a divorce can place on them, and it is in their best interest to have that when practicable.” |
