Mike Nichols, recognized for his knowledge on covenants against competition (no competes) delivered the October Luncheon Lecture to the Ingham County Bar Association. The lecture, entitled: "What do you mean that guy you fired for sexual harassment is now suing you for writing a letter to his new employer about the no compete with you that he signed?" provided a primer to members of the Ingham County Bar Association on this sticky area of the law that many lawyers find intimidating. Mike Nichols gave an overview on No Compete Clauses (Covenants Against Competition) and discussed some of the latest appellate cases. Mike Nichols has made "no competes" one of the focuses of his litigation practice. He's written about "no competes" and he also lived by one during his years as a broadcast journalist.

Email sent to Mr. Nichols on November 15, 2006 regarding this presentation:

Hi Mike,
Thanks for a great presentation at today's luncheon lecture. You always interject your presentations with the appropriate amount of humor. Your delivery combined with great materials and thorough knowledge of your subject matter made for a very informative lecture for ICBA members. I sincerely appreciate all the time and energy you you are continuously willing to devote to the association.
Best Regards,
Kris
