A man has his life back after Joshua Covert helped him to successfully get his driver’s license restored. The client had been convicted of 2 drunk driving offenses within 7 years and as such had his license revoked. The client was eligible to apply for a license after 1 year and did so without the help of an attorney. The client was denied and then hired the Nichols Law Firm to represent him. Attorney Joshua Covert first appealed the denial to the circuit court. The circuit court then found error in the Secretary of State’s denial and remanded the matter back to Secretary of State. The remand hearing was held and the Secretary of State again denied the client’s application to reinstate his license. Mr. Covert then appealed the decision and went back in front of a circuit court judge. The circuit court judge affirmed the Secretary of State’s decision.
Never one to give up, Mr. Covert and his client prepared to go back in front of the Secretary of State for a new hearing. This time with the help of Mr. Covert the client was able to present a much stronger case the second time around and was granted a restricted license. Mr. Covert made sure that the client had all of the proper documentation and character reference letters. “For a driver’s license appeal hearing it is extremely important to have all of the proper documentation and letters including but not limited to AA logs, substance abuse evaluation and a urinalysis report” says attorney Joshua M. Covert. If you have lost your license as a result of drunk driving convictions call the Nichols Law Firm and speak with attorneys who know the driver’s license restoration process and how to get you back on the road.
