Mike Nichols of Meridian Township has been following the changes in the law and the training of Michigan police officers. “Officers are required to be trained in the standardized field sobriety tests” says Nichols. The judge dismissed an OWI case in South Haven when the officer failed to follow his training or even express an understanding of it.
