Mr. Jackee Moss has been practicing law for around 7 years. Jackee graduated from Michigan State University then went on to Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  Jackee is also licensed in federal court in the Western District of Michigan and he is a real estate agent.

Jackee’s primary practice area has been divorce, custody and family law.

Jackee’s developed experience in family law during his time as an Associate Attorney for Wood and Associates, P.L.L.C.

Jackee also experienced protecting the rights of the elderly as a Legal Intern for the Elder Law Clinic in East Lansing and he worked as an Independent Contractor as Document Reviewer, which entailed analyzing, reviewing, and coding documents for responsiveness, relevancy, confidentiality, issues and privilege.

Jackee also conducted independent legal research, prepared wills, Durable Power of Attorney’s as well as Medical POA’s.  He has also worked in the insurance industry.

Jackee received the Certificate of Merit in Alternative Dispute Resolution in law school (Blue Book Award) and Board of Directors Award for Outstanding Lawyering.  His volunteer work includes Service to Soldiers; he briefed deploying soldiers on their rights regarding contracts, explained the benefits of estate planning, and assisted JAG attorneys’ with will preparation.

In a recent custody case, Mr. Moss’ client was a father that was being denied parenting with his infant daughter.  Due to the circumstances of the case, Attorney Moss was able to get his client temporary custody through an emergency court order until the court could further assess the situation. Needless to say, the father was elated to be reunited with his daughter.  Many times, it’s tough to consider a situation as a win in family law, but we all gladly accept this win!

Jackee loves weight lifting and thrill seeking activities, such as skydiving, and roller coasters.  He is a big sports fan, including football and basketball, and also enjoys participating in fantasy football; growing up, his passion was playing baseball and he was a varsity athlete at Battle Creek Central high school.

Jackee also enjoys relaxing at home and watching action and comedy movies.  He truly enjoys spending his spare time with his parents, siblings, niece, and extended family and friends.  He especially enjoys holiday dinner gatherings.  Jackee is the very proud owner of two American Bully dogs, Amigo and Storm.
