DUI attorney Mike Nichols was recognized before an audience of attorneys from across the nation as a sustaining member of the National College for DUI Defense. Nichols was given the recognition at the final session of the NCDD summer session at Austin Hall on the campus of Harvard Law School Saturday, July 28, 2012.
"This is more than just writing a check," said Nichols, who has been practicing law for 13 years. "The Board of Regents carefully reviewed and voted on my application and I also had a sponsor." Nichols was granted a plaque, shown below that memorialized the occasion.
The National College for DUI Defense sponsors 4 continuing legal education sessions every year, helping lawyers who want to strive for excellence in representing those with charged with operating while impaired by alcohol or other drugs. Nichols is the Michigan delegate to the college.
Nichols is also author of the "Michigan OWI Handbook" by the prestigious West Publishing Company and co-author of the updated "DUI Mathematics" chapter by West. He is a member of the adjunct faculty at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, teaching DUI Law and Practice.
