Michigan roads will be heavily patrolled this Labor Day weekend. Michigan State Police (MSP) recently announced a new drunk driving crackdown as part of the Michigan Highway Safety Planning (OHSP) ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign. The crackdown will be in effect until September 3rd.  Nearly 160 law enforcement agencies in 26 counties across Michigan will increase drunk driving patrols. Additionally, seat belt enforcement will be increased in Genesee, Kalamazoo, Kent, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties.  OHSP also released a new television ad for the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ Campaign. The ad can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/ohsp. The ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign  is aimed at males 21 to 34 years old- the demographic most likely to get a DUI, according to the OHSP.
