The Michigan Association of OWI Attorneys welcome 3 national speakers from Washington State, Pennsylvania and Illinois on September 21st to Detroit. Justin McShane of Pennsylvania will speak in the morning on breath testing. Ted Vosk of Washington state will speak in the afternoon on measurement uncertainty, its history and its future.
Ron Henson, PhD, an expert in alcohol and breath/blood alcohol testing, who has studied the implementation of the datamaster and datamaster dmt in Michigan and other states, will speak on his experiences and on the information and "options" on the dmt that Michigan refuses to make available.
The venue is the MGM Grand in downtown Detroit.
The afternoon schedule will also feature a presentation on the freedom of information act (FOIA) and a panel of experienced drunk/drugged driving attorneys to address case issues.
Mike Nichols, a founder of the MIAOWIA and Secretary of the board, says "we chose Detroit because we want to help the city make its comeback. Detroit is an incredible city with tons of history and it's a great venue."
The discount rate for members of MIAOWIA will be $75.00. For non-members, $175.00 with a special rate for lawyers who accept court appointed cases. The conference entry fee does not include the reduced room rate for conference attendees.
