Mike Nichols Presents on Measurement Uncertainty before a National Audience - Invited to Speak in California in June

Nationally-recognized forensic evidence leader Mike Nichols of Meridian Township spoke on mathematical truths in DUI cases in New Orleans March 21st. Nichols, whose main office is in East Lansing, was invited to speak by the National College for DUI Defense and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

"It was an incredible honor and it was awe-inspiring to see so many lawyers who traveled so far to attempt to master scientific evidence," Nichols said. Nichols is known as one of the top litigators in forensic evidence and DUID-DUI defense in the country. Nichols is the author of the OWI practice guide by West Publishing for Michigan lawyers and he is an adjunct professor of DUI Law and Practice and Forensic Evidence in Criminal Cases at the Western Michigan University/Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Nichols also accepted an invitation to speak for the California Bar Association in Monteray California in June, 2014 on the limitations of mass spectrometry to detect substances in human blood. He also spoke at the American Academy of Forensic Science annual conference in February, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. Nichols is the founder of the Michigan Association of OWI Attorneys (MIAOWIA) and is the state delegate to the National College for DUI Defense. Nichols can be reached at
