Drunk Driving Suspects in East Lansing, Lansing, Meridian Township and all over Michigan: Fairness May be the Unintended Consequence of New Law

By Michael Nichols
Categories: Michael J. Nichols

Michigan drunk driving and drugged driving attorney Mike Nichols of East Lansing was laying in bed late one night recently when he made a discovery: the new law on "drugged driving" may help Michigan motorists accused of drunk driving by alcohol. Nichols was reviewing the proof pages for the West OWI Practice Book for Michigan lawyers when he was stunned by the realization: "I discovered that House Bills 5383 and 5385 actually create a standard that is a little more fair to apply when analyzing an officer's decision to make a warrantless arrest." See video here: Nichols revealed his analysis to Ingham County judges and lawyers at the bi-annual Ingham County Bench Bar Conference in Lansing on October 18th.
