MICHIGAN DUI EXPERT ATTENDS SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCES

      East Lansing attorney Michael J. Nichols will attend the American Association of Forensic Science (AAFS) annual conference in Chicago during the week of Februaray 21st. Mr. Nichols will specifically join the session on metrology, which will feature a discussion on uncertainty in chemical measurements. Mr. Nichols, a nationally known expert in criminal law especially charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, also attended the first ever national webinar called "The Scientific Truth about HS-GC-FID and the Pharmacology of ETOH, Marijuana and Benzodiazepines" held on Janauary 7, 2011. Mr. Nichols also attended the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) advanced criminal law seminar in Aspen Colorado, January 16-21st. Mr. Nichols is the author of the OWI Handbook by Thomson Reuters West publishing.
