COURT ORDERS DRUG TEAM TO GIVE NLF CLIENT ACCESS TO HIS COMPUTER

By Michael Nichols

A District Judge granted the request from the Nichols Law Firm to allow a client to make a mirror image of his computer hard drive, even though the computer was seized in a drug raid. “Sometimes, when your client gets pushed by a bully, you have to push back,” said Mike Nichols, after obtaining a court order that allows an NLF consultant to make a “mirror image” of the computer hard drives.  The Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad seized nearly $40,000.00 in property from an NLF client in late September claiming that the property was either evidence of or profits from drug trafficking.  “We intend to put up our best case and I think the evidence will show that the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad over-reached” Nichols said.
