Police agencies throughout Michigan are still not following statewide standards for giving drivers suspected of OUIL-OWI-OWID roadside sobriety tests and its causing many people to go to court or face false charges of violating Michigan's drunk driving laws.

A circuit court judge has granted a stay of trial in an East Lansing drunk driving case in order to hear arguments about whether a police officer violated the constitution by stopping a Michigan State University student stopped for failing to yield

Wendy Schiller-Nichols recently settled a Wrongful Death suit for a fatal automobile accident involving 3 vehicles. Wendy’s client was 1 of 3 plaintiffs involved in the Wrongful Death suit, which were the driver & 2 backseat passengers.

 In this case, Ms. Phillips has been working on a motion to get the client’s blood results suppressed.  As the blood draw, which occurred at a local hospital,  was not performed with the typical Michigan State Police Tri-Tech kit, and the test results were never sent  to Michigan State Police for analysis. . .

After a circuit court judge in Ingham County suppressed the results of the blood draw for a violation of the implied consent act, the man was charged with his 5^th OWI when he experienced a relapse and drove.

A citizen accused of drunk driving in East Lansing has his life back thanks to  Wendy Schiller-Nichols. Ms. Schiller-Nichols got all charges dismissed and obtained a Careless Driving for her client, who now has a new lease on life.

The constitution of the United States allows every accused citizen to have access to all evidence in a case.
