Michigan Criminal Law Attorney Mike Nichols Decries Charging Decision by Iosco County Prosecutor in High Profile Embezzlement Case

By Michael Nichols

Attorney Mike Nichols is expressing disappointment with the Iosco County Prosecutor after her decision to charge his client, the county’s Deputy Treasurer, with embezzlement by a public official. This decision to charge was made without a review of the documents from the auditors hired by the county to examine the Treasurer’s office every year. The case has been covered on the Michael Patrick Shiel’s show “Michigan’s Big Show,” the Michigan Information Research Service (MIRS), and the Oscoda Press. A PDF of the Oscoda Press article can be found here. Recently, Mike Nichols was the attorney who won a dismissal of charges against former State Representative Cindy Gamrat in a highly publicized Misconduct in Office case.
